Located 53km south of Hurghada, Safaga acquires its unique character from both its port and the small surrounding tourist village.The town itself differs greatly from Hurghada, its small and very friendly.

Diving In Safaga

Safaga is home to Tobia Arbaa and Tobia Hamra; these two chain reefs line the shore and make it an ideal spot for daily diving.

The Diving Club - Barakuda Diving center

The Diving Center is located directly beside a natural beach at the Lotus Bay . The centre has a complete fleet of diving boats, training facilities, class room, an integrated water-basin with a large drying area and, for your comfort, a rather cozy divers' bar for all types of refreshments. We are offering a full range of divers, services and are looking forward of guiding you to the pristine areas of the Red Sea. We are offering day trips for one or two dives to the beautiful reefs of the Safaga region. It only takes about 30 - 90 minutes to the dive-sites, depending upon the location of the such. Departure time is usually at 08.30h a.m. Returning between 03.00 - 05.00h p.m. Additionally, we organize night-dives from the boat and/ or on our "beauty" house reef as well as early morning dives and wreck diving at the "Salem Express".
Most important is the treasured guests' safety, there for all boats are equipped with a 10L Oxygentank and emergency first aid cases as well as life jackets and a CB/SSB VHF-Radio. Multilingual Scuba-Instructors and/or Assistant Instructors are trained for prevention of any means of irregular occurrences and first aid measurements. The regular centres' operations are covered by an international insurance policy.
